Rice Street Kaua‘i

The Kaua‘i County came with the project to redevelop Rice Street in Lihue. The project plan included a new logo and identity for Rice Street that would be implemented on marketing materials, wayfinding signage, and promotional materials. The design needed to showcase the rich history of the area and be an identity for past, present, and future residents.

DELIVERED: Brand Strategy | Logo Identity | Brand Guideline | Signage Design | Fabrication Coordination | Installation Coordination

The logo design comes from interlaced sugar cane stocks that represent the plantation history of the community. The interlaced structure represents a community working together in unity to create a better future. The color green is chosen represent the island of Kaua‘i; green draws from Kaua‘i being known as the “Garden Isle“.

The Rice Street project is currently in progress and will aim completion in 2023.
